At RPM we are committed to setting high ethical standards and complying with all applicable laws.  In line with these commitments, we strive to continuously improve upon how our products, services and operations impact the environment, our surrounding communities, and the health and safety of those who contribute to the making or use of our products and services.  This Policy sets forth how we manage that process.

Environmental Management Systems

RPM operating companies employ Environmental Management Systems (EMS) which include a comprehensive, systematic, and planned structure for developing and implementing effective and sustainable environmental programs across our organization.

EMS at RPM operating companies includes the following:

• Identifying environmental aspects and impacts of our operations and products;
• Analyzing these aspects and impacts against legal requirements and stakeholder expectations;
• Developing initiatives to reduce operational impacts on the environment while complying with legal requirements;
• Monitoring and measuring progress towards achieving relevant initiatives and improvement targets;
• Educating and training employees to ensure an appropriate level of environmental awareness and competence; and
• Reviewing the progress of goals and initiatives set forth within our operating companies EMS on a regular basis to enable continuous improvement.

Corporate EHS Policy

RPM is committed to reducing risks to human health and the environment in and around the workplace.  More specifically, we are dedicated to maintaining the health and safety of our employees, customers and neighbors and preserving the integrity of our environment.  This commitment is supported by management and is the individual and collective responsibility of RPM employees.

We achieve these goals by:

• Educating and training employees, temporary workers and contract associates in an effort to institutionalize environmental, health and safety standards, expectations, awareness and values through-out the organization;
• Developing initiatives and local goals to foster a culture of continuous improvement in workplace health and safety and reduce adverse environmental impacts to the communities we operate within;
• Raising EH&S awareness of our employees and stressing personal and team accountability throughout the organization;
• Complying with or exceeding all applicable environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements;
• Conserving natural resources through pollution prevention, energy conservation and waste reduction;
• Developing innovative and sustainable products with longer life cycles and lower environmental impact.
